What is Juvederm?

The Procedure
Juvederm treatment only takes about 30 minutes, so it can easily be done during the lunch-hour. The filler is injected into the targeted areas using a tiny needle. Juvederm works instantly to fill in lines and folds, as the HA attracts and absorbs water, adding new volume below the surface of the skin.

Juvederm gel has a smooth consistency and is also infused with lidocaine, so the treatment is comfortable for most patients.

What to expect
Patients may experience some mild swelling, redness, tenderness, pain, and bruising, but these usually clear within 7 days or less. Patients are advised not to wear make-up for the first few hours, and also to avoid sun exposure. The results of Juvederm are immediate, but will improve when swelling subsides. The volumizing effects typically last 9-12 months.
